Take A Loved One to the Doctor® (TALOTTD) is a targeted campaign to raise health awareness in the Black community. This initiative launched in 2002 between the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS) and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Administration. Since then, Tom continues to encourage his listeners to be proactive about their health by making appointments for themselves and a loved one to visit health professionals.
Audience of 8 Million+:
Due to overwhelming demand, TALOTTD grew from one day into a year-long health awareness campaign. It now occurs from January-December 2012 on “Get Well Wednesdays” with the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS) featuring health topics and expert advice on-air supported by resourceful health information on-line at http://drday.blackamericaweb.com/ to further generate awareness and action.

This year, the Take A Loved One to the Doctor® (TALOTTD) Campaign will feature a NEW signature health event:
Tom Joyner TALOTTD® Health Festival!

Friday-Saturday, October 19 & 20, 2012
This festival will target serving 10,000 attendees and our millions of listeners via our Tom Joyner Morning Show Live Broadcast, Health & Wellness Screenings, Cooking Demos, Beauty Make-Overs, Fitness Workouts, Environmental Tips, College & Career Recruitment, national recording artists performances, Comedy Show and more! Over this 2-day period, sponsors, Vendors and health partners will have an opportunity to educate consumers within the TALOTTD Health Expo & main stage as they enjoy a fun and festive environment all free of charge.

Once again, Tom Joyner continues to stress the importance of higher education by taking “old school” and “new school” back to school through this “virtually” easy on-line college fair! With the goal in mind of educating and uplifting our growing, diverse community, the 2012-13 Virtual College Fair continues to link the TJMS urban listening audience of 8 million and beyond with higher education opportunities.
