We are now accepting intern applications for the 2014 Spring semester. Internship Program Information REACH Media offers internships at its national headquarters in Dallas, TX. The internship program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about radio broadcasting and supporting the areas of REACH Media corporate operations. Eligibility: A candidate must be a graduate student or an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university or a Junior or Senior in High School.General Information: Interns are expected to work between 20 and 40 hours a week during an 8-to-10 week internship period. Internships are offered during the Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. Interns will receive academic credit with an agreement between the REACH Media Human Resources Department and the intern's college or university. All interns are subject to the applicable REACH Media employee rules. Students will be responsible living expenses including housing, transportation and meals. The department handles a wide variety of legal issues, including: communications, copyright, trademark, tax, employment, and labor law, as well as contracts in all areas. Intern will work on clearance projects which involves contacting participants from contests, sending out release forms and following up with the returned forms. Required Skills: Strong legal research and writing skills. Must also be detail-oriented and posses strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Major: First year law school preferred. Required Skills: Experience with using both Mac and PC platforms. Demonstrated writing, communications, and organizational skills. Major: Graphics or Publication Design and/or Creative Writing major preferred. Events: Intern will assist the events area in planning, execution and publicity of events to include research; scheduling; communicating with various vendors & contest winners; and providing general assistance with various administrative tasks. Required Skills: Excellent organization, communication and research skills. Proficient in both Internet & Microsoft software applications. Previous event planning experience is a plus. Major: Communications or Marketing major preferred. Required Skills: Strong creative writing and interpersonal skills. Proficient in both Internet & Microsoft software applications. Major: Communications, Public Relations or Marketing major preferred. Required Skills: Ability to perform tasks accurately under deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills. Proficient with Internet & Microsoft software applications (knowledge of PowerPoint a plus). Major: Communications or Marketing major preferred. Required Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Organization, detail-oriented and interpersonal skills required. Proficient in both Internet & Microsoft software applications. Major: Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations major preferred. Operations/Administration: Assist Senior Vice President, Operations/Chief Administrative Officer with tasks related to the management functions of the company in the areas of Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources and Corporate Administration. This will include various daily, weekly and monthly tasks and may also include assisting with the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget process, benefit renewals and enrollments, developing forms, policies and procedures, board meeting report preparation, lease and vendor evaluations and negotiations and routine administrative needs. This internship may from time-to-time include special projects assigned by the CEO and/or President of the company. Required Skills: Highly organized; strong written, verbal communication & technical skills and ability to multi-task. Must be detail-oriented, able to work will Senior and Executive Management and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet. Major: Business Administration or Information Technology major preferred. Finance: The Finance department assumes the responsibility for the financial analysis, planning and compliance of the company. The intern will assist in all areas including Sarbanes-Oxley testing; balance sheet reconciliations; preparing financial statements and general ledger; fixed asset reporting; accounts payable; and various administrative tasks. Intern will occasionally be privy to sensitive financial information. Required Skills: Strong organizational, detail-oriented, analytical, problem-solving skills. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications with heavy emphasis in Excel. Major: Accounting or Finance major preferred.
