Co-Host, The Rickey Smiley Morning Show
Overview:
Syndicated Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a dynamic and entertaining Co-Host for nationally syndicated radio show.
Position is based in Atlanta, GA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a member of the supporting cast of a live syndicated morning radio broadcast by actively participating in the daily broadcast dialogue between host and guests.
- Prepare creative materials including guest interview questions, on-air scripts & commentary in addition to conducting live reads and recording announcements, promos, imaging and liners upon request for the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
- Attend personal appearances for promotional events or meetings sponsored by the Company and/or company advertisers and sponsors, or before groups and organization in support of the charitable and other worthy causes endorsed by Company and/or Company advertisers and sponsors.
- Attend affiliate market visits and/or promotions as requested.
- Interact with listeners via company website and social media platforms on a regular basis.
- Participate in pre or post show scheduled Operational/Programming/interactive meetings as requested.
Requirements:
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills to maintain a positive and productive on-air conversation with host, supporting cast and guests.
- Ability to provide creative and entertaining content for show.
- Strong knowledge of current FCC rules & regulations.
- Extensive experience with the use and operation of on-air broadcasting equipment and software.
Education:
- BA/BS college level degree preferred and/or five plus years relevant experience in broadcasting or related field.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on qualifications/experience.
Reports To: SVP, Programming Radio One/Reach Media
