Digital Content Producer, Amanda Seales Show
Overview:
Syndicated Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a Digital Content Producer for the nationally syndicated Amanda Seales Show. Candidate will be responsible for content curation, editing and posting of audio, video and photos as well as transcripts and sharing content through social media and BlackAmericaWeb.com. Candidate will also support other Reach Media syndicated programming as assigned.
Position is located in Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC area
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with talent and Executive Producer to post relevant show content to website and social media accounts.
Post real time content on social media outlets during LIVE broadcast of the show.
Provide proofing, editing and copy writing support for editorial content.
Assist with creating original digital content with talent.
Post audio and video files as directed on syndicated websites.
Post relevant celebrity news and entertainment topics discussed during each show.
Work with the Executive Producer to maintain the vision, voice and brand direction of the show online.
Participate in various website maintenance duties as required.
Provide digital support to other Reach Media syndicated programming as assigned.
Requirements:
Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to work with diversified group of individuals.
Flexible and able to react positively to challenge and change.
Knowledge of African-American music and culture.
Familiar with all websites that cover African- American news, entertainment, celebrity, gossip and events.
Knowledge of how to publish to and maintain a site using a content management system (CMS), WordPress a plus.
Experience writing a variety of content styles for publishing including AP, editorial, and blog style.
Ability to perform photo resizing as well as audio and video editing using programs including Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, and Sound Studio.
Familiar with and knows how to analyze metrics.
Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high- pressured environment.
Social media savvy with experience using mobile apps, creating social content. Current with interactive trends, best practices and digital experiences.
Highly organized and excellent time management and execution skills – an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently.
High level attention to detail.
Solid familiarity with HTML, Photoshop, digital video, digital audio a plus.
Experience/Education:
- B.A./B.S. in Journalism, Communications or other relevant field or quantifiable job experience.
- Experience working in Media in a digital role preferred.
