Tom Joyner’s Ultimate Party with a Purpose® to support students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities sets sail March 16th from Miami, Florida to the Caribbean
(Dallas, TX –March 13, 2014) – Now in its fifteenth year the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage Presented by Ford continues the Ultimate Party with a Purpose®, supporting students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities setting sail March 15th, from Miami, Florida. For eight days and seven nights, almost three thousand passengers will be on board the Carnival Conquest; this luxurious ship will be home and the vessel to some of the most fantastic comedians, entertainers and artists in soul music from today and yesterday including Tyler Perry, Katt Williams, Robin Thicke, Charlie Wilson, KEM, John Legend, Nelly, Ice Cube, Chante Moore, Shaggy, George Clinton, Heads of State, Erica Campbell from Mary Mary, and many great artists from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
Cruisers on this party at sea featuring a beach party, concerts, colorful theme nights and empowering seminars invest in supporting students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities while having the opportunity to see top shelf entertainment and interact with celebrities. The Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage is supported by sponsors including Ford, The Bahamas, Crest Pro Health, Carnival, Denny’s, Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom’s Club, The Home Depot’s Retool Your School Program, and Walmart.
Live Performances Daily
The cruise will kick off with a Sail Away party presented by Ford on the pool deck of the Carnival Conquest featuring Robin Thicke and Nelly followed with an evening of gospel with Dr. Bobby Jones and Friends featuring Erica Campbell, Vashawnn Mitchell, Tasha Cobbs, Willie Moore, Jr., and James Fortune.
Unprecedented events will follow in days to come including Tyler Perry’s casting call for someone to be appear in a future Tyler Perry project, Ice Cube and George Clinton perform on the same stage on pool deck of ship and KEM and John Legend performing two nights on the ships main stage, and Katt Williams will bring his comedy. Music, comedy and entertainment are non-stop on the Party with a Purpose® starting with inspirational mornings to late night hip hop shows from more than sixty entertainers.
Special celebrity guests hanging out on the cruise include Celebrity Apprentice alum Claudia Jordan, The Game’s Wendy Raquel Robinson and the inspiration for the ABC television series Scandal, Judy Smith will interact with guests and have a great time.

Tom Joyner Foundation Art Events
The Tom Joyner Foundation will present an Art Auction to be hosted by Tom Joyner Morning Show personality Sybil Wilkes. The auction will include various styles of African American Art and include a seminar highlighting the artists and the importance of collecting art preserving the legacy.
There’s something for everyone
Throughout the week, passengers can participate in sun up to sun down action, kicking off their days with morning devotion with Dr. Bobby Jones, and dancing to hip-hop, jazz or R&B into the wee hours of the morning.
Every night is a theme night: Represent Night, 1970’s Playas Ball, Roaring 20’s (a formal affair) White Night, Mardi Gras, Super Heroes and Pajama Night where passengers pull out the stops to wear some of the most fashion-forward, over-the-top, out of this world costumes.
Those unable to make the Voyage can still join the party by listening to Tom and crew report happenings from the ship all week on the morning show, with exclusive interviews and audio from the awesome entertainers on board.
